Here are a few dev sketches from Sad Teen Hotline. I was really excited to explore what Tom has been feeling in this episode! My initial thoughts were definitely a bit more somber I guess? I was really into the idea that Tom was afraid to get too emotional or show his feelings because he’s afraid of going back to the type of person he used to be. More angry, more insecure. Even if he recognized he was kind of the third wheel in a group of friends, he wanted to hold on to the good stuff for awhile longer until he couldn’t anymore. (Like trying to make a relationship work even though no one else was really rooting for it).
I really love how Tom has changed so much over the course of this show! He is such a good boy ;_;
