Also, the info that the post says the app gets? EVERY APP GETS THIS INFO.
Don’t spread this post and dont make people scared to play a game that could help so many people.
Niantic became an independent entity in October 2015 and is no longer part of Google.

However, Niantic have admitted the oversight to this and will be rectifying the permissions issue on Pokémon GO and has confirmed with Google that the app doesn’t and hasn’t collected unrelated Google account information.
Notably, the company’s other game Ingress appears to have the use of such same permissions.
