Fun Facts No One Needed But I Wish To Point Out Anyway
- The design choice for Twilight’s
bridlebridal gown was kept simple, like the dress Rarity haphazardly designed in “Sweet and Elite”. I kept Twilight’s downplaying of her role as an ascended princess in mind for this, too. Twilight also has a “sparkle” brooch, blocked in the final art by her mane. - Flash Sentry’s outfit was based on the suit he wore for the Fall Formal Dance in Equestria Girls.
- Donut “Pony” Joe’s outfit was actually a black suit, just that the crystal podium was in the way and made him look like a minister. Can’t have him in his chef outfit at a wedding, can I?
- A reference to the “only alicorns/unicorns can get married” problem of the Canterlot Wedding, Flash wearing his ring around his neck seemed like a good answer for that as any.
- The mirror to the humanoid world can be seen on the back there. I thought it was a good symbol to use, showing how Twilight first met Flash around the events of Equestria Girls, as a humanoid or pony.
- The six ponies standing as witnesses on each side are Twilight’s family and Flash Sentry’s non-canonical kid brother. Putting them there instead of the Mane Six was not only a choice so I don’t have to do up new dresses for the girls, but also that Twilight’s parents can be up there with her, having failed to play a bigger part in Shining Armor’s wedding.
